Product Overview

The BWNFiber 48-fiber 4×12 MPO OS2 trunk cable terminates four MPO-12 APC female connectors on each end of a yellow bundled jacket. It gives singlemode plants a pre-terminated 48-fiber backbone between rooms, floors and buildings inside the premises network.

This is a 4×12 assembly with APC polish on every end, not a single MPO-48 ferrule. Singlemode cassette plants frequently run Method A, so polarity deserves an explicit check before the order is placed. Overall length runs 5-100 m with 0.3 m or 0.5 m end legs; APC endfaces keep reflectance low on analog-sensitive and high-speed singlemode channels.

Technical Specifications

Final insertion loss and return loss limits follow the BWNFiber test specification for the selected loss grade. Test method reference: IEC 61300-3-4.

Selection Guidance

• Polarity is not field-switchable. Singlemode cassette plants often use Method A — confirm the method on the site drawing before choosing Type A, B or C.
• APC endfaces must mate with APC ports. Do not mix APC and UPC/PC on the same connection.
• Female (unpinned) ends mate with pinned cassette and panel ports; male (pinned) builds are quoted on request.
• State the end-leg length (0.3 m or 0.5 m) on the PO. It does not replace overall length.
• Jacket by space: OFNP for plenum, OFNR for riser shafts, LSZH for enclosed or public areas.

Order Guide

This SKU is built to the ordered polarity and is not polarity-switchable in the field. Select the polarity from the site drawing, then overall length and jacket. End-leg length (0.3 m or 0.5 m) is stated separately on the PO.

Standard lengths: 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 and 100 m, in LSZH, OFNP or OFNR. Custom lengths between or beyond these steps, and pulling eyes, are quoted on the drawing.
