Product Overview

The BWNFiber 12-fiber MPO OS2 trunk cable terminates one MPO-12 APC female connector on each end of a 3.0 mm yellow jacket, built as Type B. It is the Base-12 singlemode trunk for plants that run the Type B method, with APC endfaces for high return loss.

Polarity is fixed at Type B in this official build. Many singlemode cassette plants use Method A, so confirm the plant method before ordering — if the site is Method A, request that build on the drawing instead of forcing this SKU. APC polish must mate with APC ports; never mix APC and UPC/PC on one connection. Overall length runs 5-100 m.

Technical Specifications

Final insertion loss and return loss limits follow the BWNFiber test specification for the selected loss grade. Test method reference: IEC 61300-3-4.

Selection Guidance

• This build is Type B. Many singlemode cassette plants use Method A — confirm the plant method first and request a Type A build if the site needs it.
• APC endfaces must mate with APC ports. Do not mix APC and UPC/PC on the same connection.
• Female (unpinned) ends mate with pinned cassette and panel ports; male (pinned) builds are quoted on request.

• Jacket by space: OFNP for plenum, OFNR for riser shafts, LSZH for enclosed or public areas.

Order Guide

Polarity is already fixed as Type B in this build — choose overall length and jacket. If the site plan calls for Type A, request that build on the drawing.

Standard lengths: 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 and 100 m. Custom lengths between or beyond these steps are quoted on the drawing.
