Product Overview

The BWNFiber armored 12-fiber MPO OM3 patch cord wraps an aqua OM3 assembly in spiral steel armor and terminates one MPO-12 PC female connector on each end. It protects exposed indoor runs, trays and rodent-risk paths without changing the optical grade.

The armor is mechanical protection only — the link still performs to OM3. This page is the aqua armored build in 1-50 m lengths; for tight spaces that specify a 5.0 mm micro-armored black jacket, use the T9 build instead, and for protected in-cabinet patching the unarmored T7 cord is enough. Type A, Type B or Type C polarity is built to the site drawing.

Technical Specifications

Final insertion loss and return loss limits follow the BWNFiber test specification for the selected loss grade. Test method reference: IEC 61300-3-4.

Selection Guidance

• Polarity is not field-switchable. Choose Type A, Type B or Type C from the site drawing before ordering.
• Female (unpinned) ends mate with pinned cassette, panel and transceiver ports; male (pinned) builds are quoted on request.
• Armor adds crush and rodent protection but also weight and bend radius — for protected in-cabinet patching, the unarmored cord routes easier.
• Need a slimmer protected build? The 5.0 mm black micro-armored version fits tighter pathways.
• Armor does not change the fiber grade: this page is OM3 aqua throughout.

Order Guide

This SKU is built to the ordered polarity and is not polarity-switchable in the field. Select the polarity from the site drawing, then overall length and jacket.

Standard lengths: 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40 and 50 m. Custom lengths are quoted on the drawing.
