SJ-FTTH-MN-4C 1/2 Port Fiber Optic Face Plate, 86 Type

The SJ-FTTH-MN-4C is the flexible member of the MN-4 family: an 86 × 86 mm fiber optic face plate that takes one or two SC/LC adapter ports as the job requires. It is the direct fiber replacement for old coaxial or RJ45 wall outlets — same wall standard, same back boxes, but presenting fiber instead of copper. The housing is flame-retardant PC & ABS and fixes with screws.

Installation Notes

  • Fix the face plate to the wall or a standard 86 back box with the supplied screws.
  • Splice or field-terminate the incoming fibers inside the base, seat one or two adapters, and keep the blank on the unused position.
  • Keep adapter dust caps in place until the patch cords are connected.

What is a fiber optic face plate used for?

It terminates one or two fiber connections on a standard wall plate — the fiber equivalent of the familiar coaxial or RJ45 outlet, used in homes, offices and MDU units.

What does 1/2 port mean?

The same plate supports one or two SC/LC adapter positions. Installers populate the ports each job needs.

Does it fit a standard 86 back box?

Yes. The plate follows the 86 × 86 mm format and mounts on standard 86 back boxes as well as directly on the wall.

Can it replace an old RJ45 or coaxial outlet?

Yes — that is its most common retrofit use. The 86-type format matches the wall standard of copper outlets; the fiber is terminated behind the plate.
