Overview
The BWN-PLC-RM LGX model is a 19-inch rack-mount splitter panel pre-loaded with sixteen 1×8 LGX-footprint PLC splitter modules: the industry-standard LGX module format, factory-fitted in the rack panel, with SC/APC and SC/UPC port options. A fully loaded panel splits sixteen feeder legs to 128 outputs.
Order this configuration when your site standardizes on the LGX ecosystem — the same module footprint used across LGX chassis, enclosures and panels — and you want the splitter pre-integrated at the rack instead of assembled on site. The planar chips split optical power evenly across all outputs, flat across the 1260-1650nm band. For the standalone LGX cassette module without the panel, or for a project-configured fixed 1U panel, see the siblings linked below. For family context, see the rack-mounted PLC splitter category.
Key Features
- 16 × 1×8 LGX modules, pre-loaded — sixteen industry-standard LGX-footprint splitter modules factory-fitted in the 19″ panel: 128 outputs, no on-site module assembly.
- SC/APC and SC/UPC port options — match the panel to the plant polish standard; both options on the same panel family.
- 19″ rack integration — mounts in standard equipment racks, ODF frames and hub-site cabinets.
- Module ratios configured per order — standard load is 16 × 1×8; other 1×N / 2×N module mixes on request.
- Uniform planar loss — 10.2/10.5dB class insertion loss per 1×8 module (P/S grade), flat across the 1260-1650nm band.
- -40~+85°C operating and storage range — rated for unconditioned rack rooms and cabinets.

Connectors, Fiber Types & Compatibility
The panel offers SC adapter ports in APC and UPC options. Keep one polish standard per link: never mate APC (green, 8° angled) with UPC (blue, flat) — the end-face geometries differ and forcing the connection damages both ferrules. Fiber: G657A bend-insensitive singlemode or customer-specified fiber.
The pre-loaded modules follow the industry-standard LGX footprint used across LGX chassis and enclosures — for standalone LGX cassette modules (without the rack panel), see the LGX 2×8 LC/UPC cassette model. The panel mounts into any standard 19-inch equipment rack or ODF frame — pair it with our fiber patch panels and ODF frames.
Applications
- FTTH hub sites standardizing on LGX — one module footprint across chassis, panels and enclosures keeps spares and training simple.
- CO / headend racks — pre-integrated splitter panel drops into the rack row beside the ODF; no field module assembly.
- Carrier POPs and meet-me rooms — passive optical distribution with front-port access for testing and reconfiguration.
- Mixed-polish plants in transition — APC and UPC port options on the same panel family support sites migrating polish standards.

How to Choose: Rack-Mount LGX Configuration Guide
Ecosystem first. If the site already runs LGX chassis and enclosures, this pre-loaded panel keeps one module standard; if not, the fixed SC/APC 1U panel (linked below) is the simpler choice.
Which split ratio? Standard load is 16 × 1×8 (128 outputs). Other module ratios and mixes are configured per order — per-ratio loss values are in the splitter loss chart (1×2 to 1×64).
Polish. APC for PON plants; UPC for UPC-standardized plants; mixed requirements can be covered across the panel family — tell us your port plan.
Panel or standalone module? This page is the pre-loaded 19″ panel. For the standalone LGX cassette module only, see the LGX 2×8 LC/UPC sibling.
Rack-Mount LGX Panel vs Sibling Models

Testing & Quality Control
Optical performance is verified against the parameters in the specification table above — insertion loss, uniformity, return loss, PDL, directivity and wavelength dependent loss. Compliance with Telcordia GR-1209-CORE and GR-1221-CORE is stated per BWNFiber product documentation.
Packaging & Ordering Information
Standard build: 19″ rack panel pre-loaded with 16 × 1×8 LGX modules, SC port options (APC/UPC), G657A fiber; module ratios, polish per port group and port plan confirmed on the panel drawing before production. Panels ship in protective cartons with connector dust caps fitted.
